What a credit buys
Every action has a fixed price in credits. Nothing is metered by paper length, so a forty-page manuscript costs the same as a short one.

The single-review column is the worst rate on this page, deliberately. It exists so that somebody with one paper and a deadline does not have to buy seven.
Billing questions

Do credits expire?
No. There is no monthly reset and no expiry date. Credits sit on your account until you spend them, which is the whole reason this is not a subscription: research does not happen on a billing cycle, and paying for months where you submit nothing is how most tools in this field work.
Do I get an invoice I can put on a grant?
Yes, an invoice is issued for every purchase, with VAT shown. If it has to be made out to your institution rather than to you, email us before you pay and we will handle it as a Lab order. A VAT number cannot be added to an invoice after the fact, which is why the order in which you do this matters.
Why are prices shown with VAT included?
EU consumer law requires the price shown to a consumer to be the price they pay. So a German buyer and a Polish one see and pay the same figure, and only the split between net and VAT differs between them. Nothing is added at the checkout.
Can I pay by bank transfer instead of a card?
For a Lab order, yes: email us and it is invoiced and paid by transfer. For the packs on this page the checkout takes cards, because a transfer would put a week between the purchase and the credits arriving, which defeats the point when you have a deadline.
What is the difference between a single review and a pack?
Nothing except the price per run and how many you get. The same agents, the same venue guidelines, the same report. The single review costs more per paper because it costs us the same to serve and there is no commitment behind it.
What happens to my free paper if I then buy credits?
Buying opens the report on the free run too, including the one you already ran. The free run is a full review with a gated report, not a lesser review, so paying afterwards reveals a report that already exists rather than costing you a second pass.
Can I get a refund?
If the system fails to produce a review, write to us and we will refund or re-credit it. We do not refund a review because the verdict was not the one you hoped for: the whole product is a verdict you did not choose, and one you can return is worth nothing.
